DTH 1 is designed to hold your warning tape in a flat upright position so you can read the warning writing on the tape. It conveniently is lifted on and off of any standard delineator to allow access to the controlled area without damaging your warning tape. There is no need for any tools or tape, simply thread your warning tape through the DTH 1 and the warning or caution tape locks into place. Place the DTH on the top of the delineator and move on to the next delineator and repeat.
We have also found in testing that you can thread two different warning tapes to save time. We had run the red danger tape on one side and a red and white candy-striped tape on the opposite side. When the contractor was doing commissioning they flipped the DTH 1 over on the delineator to show the candy stripe tape, when they switched back to construction mode they flipped the tape back over to the red danger tape, saving time and materials.
DTH 1 and DTH 3 have been tested on numerous real jobs with huge success. The contractors saved money on materials because the original tape did not have to be replaced throughout the entire project. It saved time and manpower by not having to be replaced numerous times during the project. But most importantly it was visually sound in that you could read the message on the warning tape at all times. AS shown in the video below we ran over the DTH 1 with a forklift with both the front wheels and the rear. We picked up the DTH 1 and twisted it back into a usable shape.
